It divorces design from content – so you do not have to buy Dreamweaver or FrontPage. The templates handle the design and you do not need to know about HTML. WordPress has a brilliant content management system (CMS) so you and your authors can easily add content. There are 100s of professional templates available – many free!
Out of the Box, SEO on WordPress is pretty good and you can improve it further with plugins that are freely available. However, Jeff Johnson has made this step even easier: he has produced a simple to use install for WordPress, template and plugins – it is almost idiot proof. Along with the software he provides free training: tutorials and videos to explain everything.
