Case Study: To illustrate developing content, linking strategies and database development

PropertyMagnate.com is an international property portal. Seo Advisor were consulted to increase the traffic to website. PropertyMagnate.com believe their major market is to European buyers, and chose the name “PropertyMagnate” – rather than a Real Estate name as the latter phrase is a term associated with the United States market.

Seo Advisor’s strategy was to increase the amount of 1) content and 2) target specific keywords for attracting search engine traffic.

1) Content is key on any site but the content has to be related to the theme of the website! Each content page can attract traffic, and traffic from “long tail keywords” searches can be picked up quite easily from Google.  The greater the number of pages, the greater the number of visitors (and as the content is on theme, they are likely to be interested in property). So one of the prime strategies was to build an Article Directory – using “property” related articles only. Another advantage is the content is provided freely by a huge number of authors. Over time the number of articles has increased steadily – over 5000 articles to date! This article directory is now a major source of visitors. Added Bonus: these 5000 pages of quality content get linked to from other sites! The result – more traffic from those links and browny points for Google!

2) Search Engine Traffic: Seo Advisor has concentrated on two areas – a) targeted keywords such as “international property” and b) keywords related to particular property developments such as “Luxury Red Sea Beach Apartments” or “Paris Leaseback Apartments”.

a) Targeted Keywords: Using an ethical and natural linking strategy PropertyMagnate.com has page #1 for “international property” (not bad for 46 million competing pages).  SeoDigger.com is very useful for analysing websites – it shows that ProperyMagnate.com has over 900 keywords in the top 20 Google results.

b) Property Development Keywords: Getting top rankings for specific property developments is targeted and impresses your Developers! Some recent examples from Google:
